Cheil Worldwide (Korea)

Cheil Worldwide
is South Korea's leading advertising agency, more than
twice the size of its nearest rival in the country (the former LG
Ad). Like many of
South Korea's leading agencies it began life as a subsidiary of one of the chaebol, the
diversified industrial conglomerates who drive the Korean economy. Cheil's
biggest individual shareholder is Samsung, one of the
country's most powerful corporations. Cheil's size derives from
the fact that it supervises the Samsung account worldwide. Advertising Age ranked Cheil
as the #16 worldwide marketing organisation in 2007 and estimated revenues of
$300m. Click
