Ford of Britain (UK)

Ford of Britain is the local subsidiary of the #2 US vehicle manufacturer, and has been the country's leading car-maker for more than quarter of a century. For many years the UK also served as the headquarters for Ford's European business, but this was transferred to Germany in 1998. Europe has long been one of the group's most troubled regions financially, and Ford announced a series of measures in 1999 and 2000 designed to cut costs and boost profitability. These included the winding down of car production at its core Dagenham factory. Click here for the Adbrands Company Profile (subscribers only); or subscribe to Adbrands.net here.
