PHD is the secondary media brand within the Omnicom group, working alongside OMD. It was originally a small British agency, part of the AMV BBDO group. But during 2001, the brand was extended to a number of Omnicom's standalone North American media shops to create a new Anglo-American network. Four years later the agency began expansion into other international markets. Although PHD is still one of the smallest media networks it has an unrivalled reputation for strategic planning.
