Unilever (US)

Until
recently, Unilever's operations in the
US have consisted of several separate businesses, of which the two
biggest were its foods and home and personal care units. Gradually, however,
the group has streamlined its structure to create a single operating entity,
better able to negotiate effectively with retailers. Unilever's US brands
include a mixture of global giants such as Dove, Axe and Sunsilk alongside
local jewels Promise, Degree, Skippy and Wish-Bone. The most significant
changes to the US portfolio in recent years were the disposal of two core
businesses. Oral care products including Pepsodent and Mentadent were sold
in 2003; the laundry division, including All, Wisk and Snuggle, was divested
in 2008. Click here
